Another Country, in collaboration with Ekkist are proud to present their inaugural collaborative furniture collection ‘Designs for the Natural Home’, demonstrating how design can be used to improve well-being.

The collection is inspired by Ekkist’s ‘Ori House’, the UK’s first house typology designed specifically to benefit the health and well-being of the building’s occupants, based on the innovative WELL Building Standard™.

The result is a collection of furniture designed to contribute to better indoor air quality, mindfulness through texture and craftsmanship, and the incorporation of natural elements through biophilic design.

In recognition of its distinctiveness and design values, the Sofa Bed has been awarded a 2018 Design Guild Mark as well the Jonathan Hindle Prize, awarded to the most outstanding Design Guild Mark winner, and the Ori Mirror has been recognised with a Wallpaper* Design Award.

This sofa bed is a WELL Standard compliant day time sofa, a single put me up and a pull out double bed all in one. A versatile piece, designed in collaboration with wellbeing consultants Ekkist, the Ori Sofa Bed is made from solid ash with two slim mattresses filled with a combination of organic Coir (Coconut Fiber) and wool.
