Xavier Pauchard

Xavier Pauchard was a French designer who was regarded at the top of the industry in his time and is considered a legend in reference to furniture design to this day. Born in 1880 in France, Pouchard was a pioneer in reinventing galvanized steel and how it was used in everyday, domestic products following World War I. The founder of the brand Tolix, Pouchard’s famously classic Tolix chair is still manufactured and recreated widely to this day.
